Lost — Looking for Found

When simplified what I am feeling is just Artist’s Block and I don’t want to let it get the best of me.  I will simply keep it simple and wait for it to fade. A little break, a natural part of the ebb and flow. Without change there can be no movement forward to new places. If I stop for too long I will be stuck.  Maybe I have to stop and just be still so can find a new place to start again. A rest rather than a pitfall.  I miss my enthusiasm.  I was so easily fueled with creative energy—riding on the flow and everything falling into place.

Rose Bud drawing

Rose bud Illustration. It could be that my “block” is because I have gone back to “work”and am once again freelancing. The rose became very personal and a perfect opening to new possibilities.

“How will you go about finding that thing the nature of which is totally unknown to you?”

I stumbled upon Dani Shapiro’s blog and found these ancient words that seem to speak to the place I am experiencing now.
